Join the Ya Momma's Dish and Dash 5K and Fun Run, a heartfelt event dedicated to supporting Lerin Rogers in her brave fight against cancer. This community gathering aims to "Lift up Lerin" by directing a portion of proceeds to her and her family, easing their financial and emotional burdens. Runners will enjoy a warm-up at Larose Park Pavilion, a course through local neighborhoods, and a celebratory finish back at the pavilion with food, fun, and a community cook-off.
From the organizer
Every one of us has a mother or mother figure who holds a special place in our hearts. While we deeply miss the physical presence of those who have passed, their warmth, strength, and unwavering love continue to live within us. And for the mothers still here with us, we’re reminded of the light they bring into our lives every day.
This year, we are dedicating the 5K and Fun Run to a local loving wife, mother, and friend, Lerin Rogers. Lerin has been bravely fighting a serious cancer diagnosis. Over the past year, she has undergone extensive treatment and major surgery, followed by complications that have required repeated hospital stays.
Through every challenge, Lerin has shown remarkable strength. Yet the emotional and financial strain on her family has grown heavy. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go directly to Lerin and her loved ones to help ease that burden. This is a chance for our community to come together and "Lift up Lerin" as she continues her fight.
The 5K and Fun Run will begin with a warm‑up at the Larose Park Pavilion, with the race starting at the Larose Civic Center parking lot. The marked route will guide participants through the surrounding neighborhoods and finish back at the Larose Park Pavilion—the heart of the event. Once you cross the finish line, you’ll be welcomed with food, fun, and a community ready to celebrate together.
Included in the entry fee for either run, is an event shirt and access to the cook off event.
