Le Moyne College Dolphin Dash 2026

Dolphins get ready! Le Moyne is excited to host the 13th Annual Dolphin Dash - 5K run/walk and one-mile walk event.   Proceeds from the event will support student scholarship at Le Moyne College.

WHEN:

Live Event: Saturday, September 26, 9:30 a.m. : Run 5K (3.1 miles) or One-mile Walk Virtual Event : Saturday, September 26, all day. Run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) anytime between those dates and anywhere and then submit your time to the leaderboard.

LOCATION:

Live Event: Niland Athletics Complex/Dwyer Center For Health and Wellness at Le Moyne College / 1419 Salt Springs Road / Syracuse, NY 13214. The Le Moyne College Events Center is located off of Springfield Road, back entrance of campus /Athletics complex. The event will start and end here.

Virtual : Anywhere

REGISTRATION OPTIONS:

Participants will have a few options. Sign up for the live, in-person, timed 5K event, the One-Mile walk (not timed), or the virtual event.

Please note: Registration will be online only up through the race time . There will be no paper application and cash or credit card payment accepted on event day. Please come prepared with a Smartphone to register online if registering on event day.

Group / Team Registration: Participants can sign up as groups/teams, e.g. Class Teams - Class of 2000.

$25; includes a Dolphin Dash commemorative tee, while supplies last. $15 for the virtual Dolphin Dash; $10 additional for Dolphin Dash commemorative tee  The shirt is mailed after the event. $10; The one-mile walk will not be timed,

To honor all the men and women who have served our country, Le Moyne is proud to offer $5.00 off race registration to active duty and retired military.

Members of the following area running clubs will receive $5.00 discount off their registration:

Checkers AC Running Club (Buffalo) Genesee Valley Harriers (Rochester) Lake Effect Run Club (Syracuse) Syracuse Chargers Track Club Finger Lakes Runners Club The RunSignUp platform will recognize current members of the above groups and automatically discount the $5.00 off of the registration.

All students will receive $5.00 discount off of their race registration.

AWARDS Prize Categories:

Overall Male and Female Finisher: First, second, and and third place

Class Team Award First place finisher, Male and Female in each category: Age 12 & under Age 13-19 Age 20-29 Age 30-39 Age 40-49 Age 50-59 Age 60 - 69 Age 70-79 Age 80 and over Non-Timed Awards:

Dolphin Spirit Award - Given to the participant(s) with the most school spirit ― so be sure to wear your GREEN and GOLD. Longest Mile Award – Given to the participant who traveled the furthest distance to participate in the Dash. The 'Phin Phamily Award - Given to the family with the highest number of family participants. Course Details and Map More information coming soon. The course will include pathways through campus as well as the roads on the perimeter of campus, e.g. Springfield Rd and Salt Springs Rd.

GIVEAWAY: COMMEMORATIVE DOLPHIN DASH T-SHIRT

Participants will receive a Dolphin Dash commemorative T-shirt. Commemorative t-shirts will be mailed to virtual participants following the conclusion of the event. Please allow between 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. The cut-off date to guarantee your event shirt is September10. After that, shirts will not be guaranteed for registrants, but on a while supplies last basis.

Event Shirt Pick Up :  Participants can pick up their shirts on event day. For virtual participants, t-shirts will be mailed following the conclusion of the event. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.

Weather Policy: The Dolphin Dash Run/Walk will take place rain or shine. If cancellation of the event is warranted due to dangerous weather conditions, announcements will be made race day at the race site.

Timing: Leone Timing not only provides timing for our 5K, but helps our event in many different ways. As a participant you will see them working on race day, but they also do a lot of behind the scenes work for our race starting from when registration opens. Thank you Leone Timing!
