Get ready to run, laugh, and get covered in color!
Join the Reid State Foundation for our inaugural Breaking Free 5K and Fun Run — now a Color Run experience. This will be a fun, high-energy morning you won’t want to miss.
Whether you run or walk, you’ll be part of something meaningful from the very beginning.
💥 Registration is just $10 to participate. 12 and Under with a Paid Adult is $5.
👕 Want the official race t-shirt? Registration + shirt is $25
Reid State students receive complimentary registration thanks to grant support.
Important: To receive your shirt in time for race day, you must register by April 17 at noon. Individuals who register after that time can pick up their shirts at the college when notified.
Every step supports the Breaking Free Initiative at Reid State Community College — a prevention program that empowers students to recognize unhealthy relationship behaviors, strengthen communication skills, and break cycles of dating and domestic violence.
This initiative is made possible through the Megan Montgomery Foundation of Birmingham and incorporates evidence-based resources inspired by the One Love Foundation.
Bring your friends.

Get ready for color.
Let’s make our very first Breaking Free Color Run unforgettable.
Run. Walk. Celebrate. Take a stand.
Every step helps build safer, stronger communities.
